60 years in the making, Trailside Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a wine of vision, of fascination, of exploration. A geological wonder. A love child of Napa Valley. The Lawrence family of Heitz Cellar and Jeremy Seysses of Domaine Dujac have converged on pedigreed soil in the heart of Rutherford. Together, finding something that was hiding in plain sight.
Until now.

COMING SPRING 2025

New wines from old soils.

Trailside Vineyard, tucked away in Rutherford's east side in Napa Valley, is a storied site where history meets innovation. This unique vineyard, shaped by diverse geological features—from volcanic slopes and sandy river shores to granite boulders—offers a terroir unlike any other. Carlton McCoy, Master Sommelier and CEO of Lawrence Wine Estates, recognized the potential of this storied vineyard and sought to craft a wine that would honor Napa’s classic roots while embracing a modern approach.

To bring his vision to life, Carlton enlisted two renowned winemakers: Jeremy Seysses of Domaine Dujac and Nico Cueva, known for his work at Haynes Vineyard and Kosta Browne. Both winemakers are celebrated for their ability to explore and express the nuances of a vineyard with precision and creativity. Carlton’s brief to them was simple: “Make wines you will enjoy drinking, in a style that you love.”

The debut vintage of Trailside Cabernet Sauvignon is the culmination of this vision. With meticulous attention to detail, Jeremy and Nico have crafted a wine that is vibrant, complex, and true to its origins. Trailside is a testament to the art of winemaking, where tradition and innovation converge to create something truly special.
